In the middle of war, displacement, and destruction, Hashem chose to build something.
Not a business. Not a shelter. A classroom.
Hashem is an English teacher in Gaza.
Before the war changed everything, his family worked in construction. Like many families in Gaza, they have faced instability, loss, and uncertainty.
But through it all, Hashem held onto one dream: to teach children English and help them build a future beyond survival.
With very limited means, he rented a small space, cleaned and prepared it with the help of Ahmed, and slowly began building what is now the Gaza Education Center.
Today, children come here to learn.
Dena, a mother of four, teaches at the center. Ahmed helps keep the space running. And Hashem continues teaching, even in the middle of war.
This center is not just a classroom.
It is one of the few places where children in Gaza can still feel structure, stability, and hope.
For a child, education is more than lessons.
It is routine. It is confidence. It is a reason to keep dreaming. It is a reminder that life can still be more than war.
Without safe learning spaces, children risk losing not only their education; but their sense of possibility.

The Gaza Education Center is already open.
Children are already learning. Teachers are already showing up. The center is already serving the community.
But it needs consistent support to survive and grow.
Monthly giving helps provide something even more important:
Stability.
This campaign is about more than funding a classroom.
It is about protecting a place where children can feel normal again, even for a few hours.
It is about helping a teacher continue the work he refused to abandon.
It is about standing with the people who are still building, still teaching, and still believing in Gaza’s children.
This is not just a donation.
It is something you will see being built.
You will see children learning inside the center. You will see Hashem teaching. You will see the improvements your support helps make possible.
The Gaza Education Center is still fragile.
The rent must be paid. Electricity must be covered. The bathroom and water setup still need to be completed. The classroom still needs support.
For the children who come here, this center is more than a place to study.
It is safety. It is routine. It is hope. It is one of the few places where their future still feels possible.
Hashem started with what he had.
Now we can help him build what these children need.
